Jerusalem dancing
in the words of Amichai's poems:

the tread of the bride's feet
flour poured white from the mill.

I sleep with the book in my hand
a green interval.
        And wake
like a city growing at first light
the roots sought out
by waters seeping –

the wife has sent to the granary
and turns to the making of bread.
